Gas filter Installation method for reference only

Step 1: Make preparations before replacement. First, we must prepare a fuel filter suitable for the original car model. Second, we must prepare the tools for use. Basically, we need to use the oil receiving cup, sealing red glue, and oil pipe. Clamps, pliers, screwdrivers and other tools. We should also pay attention to not wearing chemical fiber clothes to prevent static discharge sparks. If possible, it is best to tie a grounded ground wire to your wrist to prevent static electricity. After all, safety comes first.

Step 2: Because there is pressure in the fuel system, in order to avoid fuel injection or fire accidents when removing the filter, we must release the pressure in the fuel system before disconnecting the fuel line. When replacing the fuel filter, it is better to choose the next morning (in a cold car state), because at this time the oil pressure in the fuel system is low, and less gasoline will flow out when the filter is removed.

Step 3: Find the location of the fuel filter of your car first, and then unplug the fuel filter from the mounting bracket. Place the oil receiving cup under the oil pipe, and use pliers to remove the disposable pipe clamps on both sides.

Step 4: Unplug the pipe at the fuel inlet of the fuel filter. At this time, the fuel in the pipe will overflow and introduce the oil into the cup. When the flow rate is low, put on the pipe collar and connect the oil inlet of the new filter as soon as possible, and temporarily block the other end of the interface (when installing the gasoline filter, separate the oil inlet and the oil outlet, generally the outlet The oil port is on the upper part of the filter, and the oil inlet is on the lower part of the filter. The arrow on the filter indicates the direction of gasoline flow). At the same time, the oil inlet of the old filter should be blocked.

Step 5: Unplug the other end of the old filter and connect it to the new filter. And tighten the pipe clamp with a screwdriver to prevent oil leakage. Install the replaced fuel filter back to its original position.

Step 6: Start the car and idling for a period of time to see if there is any oil leakage at the fuel filter interface. If not, it means the installation is good and you can go on the road.

If the filter hose is found to be aged or cracked due to dirt, oil, etc., the hose needs to be replaced in time. To ensure our driving safety.
