The compressed air from the air source contains excessive water vapor and oil droplets, as well as solid impurities, such as rust, sand, pipe sealant, etc., which can damage the piston seal ring and block the small exhaust holes on the components. Shorten the service life of components or make them invalid. The function of the air filter is to separate the liquid water and liquid oil droplets in the compressed air, and filter out the dust and solid impurities in the air, but cannot remove the gaseous water and oil.

The classification is detailed in Table 1.

Classification	Features	Effect
Primary filter	Removal of dust particles ≥5μm, initial resistance ≤50Pa	It is used as a pre-filter in the air-conditioning purification system to protect the medium and high-efficiency filters and other accessories in the air-conditioning box to extend their service life.
Medium efficiency filter	Removal of dust particles ≥1.0μm, initial resistance ≤80Pa	Used as an intermediate filter in the air-conditioning purification system to reduce the load of the high-efficiency filter and extend the service life of the high-efficiency and air-conditioning box accessories.
Sub-high efficiency filter	Removal of dust particles ≥0.5μm, initial resistance ≤120Pa	It can be used as an intermediate filter in the air conditioning purification system and can be used as a terminal filter in the low-level purification system
High efficiency filter	Removal of dust particles ≥0.3μm, initial resistance ≤220Pa	Terminal filter in air conditioning purification system. Terminal purification equipment that must be used in high-level clean rooms (0.3μm clean room)
Ultra high efficiency filter	Removal of dust particles ≥0.1μm, initial resistance ≤280	The terminal filter in the air conditioning purification system is a terminal purification equipment that must be used in a high-level clean room (0.1μm clean room).
